Job summary

SR Talent Solution Inc. seeks an experienced IT Manager to lead daily IT operations and a small team. The role requires hands-on technical leadership, strategic planning, and coordination with external security partners. You will drive improvements, ensure compliance readiness, and balance day-to-day needs with long-term technology planning.

The position is onsite in Tyson’s, VA with potential flexibility after 6 months for 1 day remote, for a 6-month contract-to-hire engagement.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of relevant technical experience.
• 3-5 years of experience leading and managing an IT team.
• Experience in a cloud-first workplace productivity environment for a mid-sized company (150-300 users) including support for remote/hybrid personnel.
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills with the ability to analyze complex issues and implement practical solutions.
• Ability to identify operational gaps, establish processes, and drive initiatives from planning through implementation.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily IT operations, including help desk performance, ticket priorities, escalations, service levels, and resolution.
• Provide hands-on Tier 2/3 technical support and troubleshoot complex issues, identifying root causes and sustainable solutions.
• Lead, coach, and develop internal IT team members; coordinate with external IT and cybersecurity partners.
• Manage Microsoft 365, cloud apps, endpoints, networks, and infrastructure.
• Identify gaps in IT operations and develop scalable solutions; drive improvements through completion.
• Lead technology projects, implementations, and hardware refreshes from planning to execution.
