Job summary

California State University, Office of the Chancellor, is seeking an experienced IT Project and Change Manager to lead strategic technology and organizational initiatives across the Chancellor's Office and 22 campuses.

This role sits in the Project and Change Management Office (PCMO) and partners with business and technology leaders to align stakeholders and deliver sustainable outcomes that support CSU’s mission.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Five or more years leading complex technology projects.
• Five or more years leading organizational change initiatives.
• Experience partnering with business and technical teams.
• Experience leading cross-functional initiatives involving diverse stakeholders and competing priorities.
• Experience developing executive communications and stakeholder engagement strategies.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise technology projects and strategic initiatives from initiation through implementation, transition, and successful adoption.
• Develop practical project strategies, governance structures, schedules, resource plans, and risk management approaches that support successful delivery.
• Monitor project performance, manage risks and dependencies, facilitate decision making, and communicate progress to stakeholders and leadership.
• Facilitate project closeout activities, including lessons learned and continuous improvement recommendations.
• Lead integrated change management strategies that build organizational readiness, strengthen stakeholder engagement, and support successful adoption.
• Assess organizational impacts, stakeholder needs, and readiness to inform change approaches.
• Lead communication, engagement, training, and adoption activities throughout the project lifecycle.
• Monitor adoption metrics and adjust strategies to improve outcomes.
