Job summary

Auto-Owners Insurance is seeking an IT Performance Tester to join our team. After initial in-person training, the role may offer hybrid work with up to 3 days remote per week, based in Lansing, Michigan.

You will design, implement, and maintain performance tests, work with developers and analysts, review test plans and results, and document findings in Confluence. The position requires a BS in a computer-related field, proficiency in programming languages, and experience with JMeter, NeoLoad,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, IT, or related field.
• Fundamental programming knowledge across common languages listed.
• Strong communication and ability to deliver quality work.
• Ability to learn new tools and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Read, analyze and interpret performance testing requests.
• Collaborate with developers, analysts, PMs, architects, and HR leadership on functionality.
• Review test plans and results; update existing plans as needed.
• Design, develop and maintain automation scripts for performance tests.
• Interpret test results using monitoring tools and document findings in Confluence.
• Run tests outside normal hours; support team goals and priorities.
