Job summary

Auto-Owners Insurance is seeking a Project Manager in our Delivery Management Division. After initial in-person training, this role could offer hybrid work from home up to 3 days per week, though we are not fully remote and require work in a tech office.

Based in Lansing, MI, you will drive project success and mentor junior PMs. The role emphasizes applying PM methodologies, risk analysis, and cross-functional collaboration to meet stakeholder objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent experience.
• Active participation in project management continuing education preferred.
• Strong organization, communication and leadership abilities.
• Effective oral and written communication; strong problem resolution skills.
• Ability to deliver engaging, informative project presentations to various levels.

Responsibilities

• Apply project management methodologies and best practices.
• Identify resources and make recommendations to address needs.
• Review high-level project documents for stakeholders.
• Perform risk analysis and minimize risk across projects.
• Direct cross-departmental activities to meet objectives.
• Mentor and train newer project managers and leads.
• Ensure projects meet stakeholder objectives.
• Deliver presentations to team, stakeholders and executives.
• Support other duties as needed; travel to meetings and seminars.
