Job summary

Department of Natural Resources & Conservation (DNRC) is seeking an IT Systems Administrator in Helena to support DNRC IT systems and users. The role manages servers, devices, applications, and security to ensure a stable technology environment for staff, with supervision by the Technical Services Manager.

The candidate must pass a criminal history background check, hold a valid driver’s license, and be willing to travel to meetings and events as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, business administration with a minor in computer science or information systems, or closely related field.
• Four years of progressively responsible experience in the information technology support field including hardware deployment, software installation, configuration, and client services.
• Strong customer service focus with ability to communicate complex concepts and train users.
• Knowledge of Active Directory, Windows Server, Group Policy, and related IT tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist users with server, computer, mobile, or other technology-related problems.
• Ensure employees have necessary access to perform duties.
• Install, image, update, maintain, and wipe server and client hardware and software.
