Job summary

All Stars Project, Inc. is seeking an IT Manager in New York to lead the technology function, partner with an MSP, and drive IT initiatives across the national nonprofit. The role requires confidentiality, judgment, and close collaboration with the COO to implement policies and best practices.

The position is hybrid, with regular in-person presence in the NYC offices. Responsibilities include IT operations, vendor management, project delivery, security, and staff enablement across multiple

Qualifications

• Five or more years of progressive and relevant IT management experience.
• Ability to communicate clearly with staff, vendors, and partners at all levels and to represent the organization to external parties.
• Working knowledge of IT systems, hardware, software, cloud-based platforms, cybersecurity practices, and basic troubleshooting.
• Experience managing ERP implementation or similar scale projects.
• Experience supporting technology needs across multiple locations preferred.
• Capacity to handle ambiguity and work in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.
• Efficient trouble‑shooting abilities and ability to identify, elevate, and follow through on technology issues.
• Ability to create and maintain clear documentation, procedures, and technology‑related resources for staff.
• Ability to work in a collaborative environment.
• Understanding of poverty-related issues and a commitment to creating educational and developmental opportunities for inner‑city youth in outside of school contexts.
• Ability to lift, move, and set up technology equipment and related materials, up to 25 pounds, and use a step stool or ladder as needed.
• Ability to work occasional evenings or weekends to support technology projects, system updates, staff training, or urgent operational needs.

Responsibilities

• IT Operations and Vendor Management — manage internal IT liaison, prioritize requests, and track MSP performance.
• Tech project leadership— oversee portfolio from planning through execution with cross-functional teams.
• Systems security and compliance— partner with MSP on access controls, audits, and patching.
• Budget oversight— monitor technology spend and prepare quarterly outlooks.
• Vendor relations— contract management and SLA oversight with external partners.
• Knowledge base and staff enablement— maintain docs and training materials.
