Piper Companies in Raleigh-Durham, NC is seeking an IT Engineer for a hybrid role, with 2 days onsite in RTP. You will support shared lab infrastructure across networking, servers, virtualization, and end-user support.

Ideal candidates have MSP experience, strong CCNA networking, and the ability to juggle multiple technologies and projects while collaborating with engineering and operations teams.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in an MSP or diverse IT support environment.
• CCNA-level networking knowledge and troubleshooting.
• Experience with Windows and/or Linux servers and virtualization.
• Ability to wear multiple hats across networking, systems administration, and help desk support.

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain shared lab infrastructure, including network equipment, servers, virtualization platforms, and endpoints.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network, systems, and end-user issues across a diverse technology environment.
• Manage IT infrastructure projects, deployments, upgrades, and day-to-day operational support.
• Provide hands‑on help desk support and serve as a key technical resource for internal users.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to implement infrastructure improvements and enhance lab performance.
