Job summary

HarbourVest Partners is seeking an experienced IT Business Analyst to support data, reporting, and visualization capabilities within the Client Portal. You will translate business needs into clear technical requirements, partner with data engineering, and ensure reliable delivery of client-facing reports and dashboards.

The role emphasizes Power BI, Snowflake integrations, data mapping, and production support, with hybrid work and collaboration across global teams.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or related role.
Strong experience with Power BI, Snowflake or similar cloud data platform, data mapping and reporting requirements.
Working knowledge of SQL and Python for data validation and reconciliation.
Experience supporting production applications and resolving data-related issues.
Excellent analytical, communication, documentation, and partner-management skills.

Responsibilities

Gather and document requirements for client-facing reports, dashboards, metrics and visualizations.
Support development and validation of Power BI solutions, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
Maintain data definitions, rules, and reporting requirements; support incident triage and production releases.
