Client Growth Resources, Inc. in New York is seeking a Patent Agent to join a leading AmLaw 50 IP practice. The role focuses on drafting and prosecuting patent applications in emerging technologies, requiring a strong technical background and 2+ years of experience. Hybrid work arrangement is offered.

The candidate will work with inventors and attorneys to evaluate inventions, conduct searches, draft filings, and manage patent portfolios within a dynamic legal environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Physics with an excellent academic record.
• 2+ years of substantive experience in patent preparation and prosecution.
• Experience in data science, machine learning, AI, wireless communications, sensors, semiconductors, IoT, optics or related fields is advantageous.

Responsabilités

• Work with inventors and attorneys to prepare and prosecute patent applications in emerging technology areas.
• Identify inventions through technical discussions with inventors.
• Perform novelty and clearance searches to delineate inventions from existing technologies.
• Draft comprehensive patent applications and negotiate the scope of patent rights with the USPTO.
• Prepare reports and support documentation for patent portfolio management.
