Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a meticulous Warehouse Inventory Specialist to join a Welkom-based operations team. The role focuses on accuracy in stock counts, cycle counting, discrepancy resolution, and continued improvements in inventory control using WMS and related tools.

The position supports a hybrid work model with on-site data work and remote reporting/planning. Ideal candidates have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and experience in warehouse inventory systems.

Qualifications

• Experience in inventory management within a warehouse setting.
• Strong knowledge of cycle counting and stock reconciliation.
• Proficiency with inventory software and warehouse systems (WMS).
• Excellent analytical mindset with high accuracy.
• Detail-oriented and highly organized; good communication.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular cycle counts and physical audits to ensure accuracy.
• Investigate discrepancies between system and physical stock.
• Maintain inventory control procedures to prevent loss and obsolescence.
• Analyze inventory data to identify trends and issues.
• Generate regular inventory reports for management with key metrics.
• Collaborate with warehouse teams on receiving, put-away, and fulfillment.
• Assist in implementing and optimizing WMS related to inventory.
• Ensure compliance with company inventory policies and procedures.
• Identify opportunities to reduce carrying costs and improve turnover.
• Train staff on inventory control procedures and best practices.
