About the Role

Our client, a significant entity in the retail supply chain, is seeking a meticulous and proactive Warehouse Inventory Specialist to join their team in Welkom, Free State . This role is fundamental to ensuring the accuracy and integrity of inventory data within the warehouse. You will be responsible for managing stock counts, conducting cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing strategies to maintain optimal inventory levels. The position requires a sharp analytical mind, exceptional attention to detail, and a solid understanding of inventory management systems and best practices. This role supports a hybrid work model, allowing for a balance between essential on-site data analysis and process oversight, and remote work for reporting and strategic planning. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits to ensure accuracy.
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies between system data and physical stock.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Inventory Specialist, Stock Controller, or in a similar inventory management role within a warehouse environment.
• Strong understanding of inventory control principles and techniques (e.g., cycle counting, FIFO, LIFO).
• Proficiency in using inventory management software and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a high degree of accuracy.
• Detail-oriented and highly organized.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with warehouse staff and management.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Experience in the Welkom, Free State region is beneficial.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools.
• A proactive approach to identifying and resolving inventory-related issues.
