Job summary

Divergent is seeking an Inventory Control Manager to govern inventory transactions, master data, and data integrity across warehouse, production, and IT teams. You will lead cycle counts, variances, and continuous improvements of control processes to support accurate valuation and audit readiness.

The role emphasizes cross-functional partnership, data-driven governance, and scalable inventory controls within a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of progressive inventory control/operations experience in manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of inventory flow, ERP processing, and data integrity.
• Experience monitoring controls via reconciliations, KPIs, and variance analysis.
• Advanced Excel skills for ERP and inventory data analyses.
• Excellent cross-functional communication and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Govern inventory transactions to ensure accurate reflection of activity and proper period recording.
• Develop and maintain governance documents for inventory transaction practices.
• Investigate discrepancies and coordinate corrective actions with operations.
• Validate completeness/accuracy of production activity, materials disposition, and labor hours.
• Maintain inventory master data accuracy with engineering and procurement.
• Drive quarterly cycle counts and the annual physical inventory with defined cadence.
