Job summary

Divergent is seeking an Inventory Control Manager in California to govern inventory transactions, master data, and cycle counts. This role partners with Supply Chain, Production, Program Management, and IT to strengthen data accuracy and audit readiness.

Primary duties include maintaining inventory governance, improving data integrity, and coordinating annual physical inventories while driving KPIs for control effectiveness. Hybrid work is available.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of progressive experience in inventory control, inventory operations, or related manufacturing environments.
• Strong understanding of inventory flow, production workflows, and ERP transaction processing.
• Experience monitoring inventory controls through reconciliations, KPIs, and variance analysis.

Responsibilities

• Govern inventory transactions to reflect physical activity and proper period recording.
• Develop and maintain documentation for inventory governance and controls.
• Investigate discrepancies and implement corrective actions with operational teams.
• Ensure data integrity of operational data and downstream reporting.
• Drive accuracy of inventory master data and item definitions with cross-functional partners.
• Lead quarterly cycle counts and annual physical inventory, defining cadence and thresholds.
• Develop KPIs and scorecards to monitor control effectiveness and data quality.
