Job summary

Cisco is seeking an Inventory Accounting professional in the United States to manage US GAAP inventory accounting for Cisco Services and Supply Chain. The role blends process improvement with hands-on close responsibilities and collaboration across IT, Tax & Customs, and Ops.

You will use advanced Excel, Oracle, UiPath, and Python to automate reconciliations, validate outputs, and drive improvements while maintaining strong internal controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, information systems, data science, or related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in finance or computer science.
• Foundational understanding of accounting concepts and reconciliations.
• Advanced Excel skills and interest in automation, scripting, or AI.
• Clear written and verbal communication, cross-team coordination.
• Initiative, follow-through and sound judgment.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate inventory accounting processes, data flows and controls.
• Identify manual pain points and opportunities to improve accuracy and efficiency.
• Build or improve tools, reconciliations, reports and workflow automations.
• Apply AI and automation within policy and accounting controls.
• Translate needs for IT and coordinate testing and timing of changes.
• Review changes after release and assess effectiveness across close cycles.
• Document processes and controls for cross-team usability.
• Prepare and review reconciliations, journal entries, and close activities.
• Monitor inventory accounting accuracy and coordinate with Operations and IT.
