Job summary

Cisco is seeking an Inventory Accounting professional to support US GAAP inventory accounting for Cisco Services and Supply Chain across multiple entities. The role blends finance, IT, and operations, with hands-on close responsibilities and opportunities to improve processes.

You'll analyze processes in Oracle, UiPath, and Excel, develop tools and reconciliations, and work with IT and Tax to implement controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Foundational understanding of accounting and finance demonstrated through education or project work.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with data and process flow understanding.
• Advanced Excel skills and interest in automation, scripting, or AI.
• Clear written and verbal communication across teams.
• Initiative and ability to work independently with sound judgment.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate inventory accounting processes within Oracle, UiPath, and Excel, including rationale, data flows and controls.
• Identify recurring manual work and opportunities to improve accuracy, efficiency, and reliability.
• Build or improve tools, reconciliations, reports, and workflow automations using advanced Excel and scripting.
• Apply AI and automation within policy and accounting controls, validating outputs.
• Translate accounting needs into IT requirements and coordinate testing and timing.
• Review system changes after release and assess fixes across close cycles.
• Document processes, controls, and changes for cross‑team usability.
