Job summary

Cisco Systems, Inc. is seeking a curious, self‑directed Inventory Accounting professional to join a team that partners with IT and Tax & Customs for inventory systems and processes.

You will improve how work gets done, analyze current processes, and test improvements while performing close and post‑close activities. You will join an experienced, collaborative team with onboarding and mentorship programs across Cisco.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• 1–2 years of experience in finance or computer science.
• Foundational understanding of accounting and finance; demonstrated through education, work, or self-directed learning.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to learn complex processes.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate inventory accounting processes within Oracle C3, UiPath, and Excel, including accounting rationale, data flows and controls.
• Identify recurring manual work, pain points, data issues, and opportunities to improve accuracy and efficiency.
• Build or improve tools, reconciliations, reports and workflow automations using advanced Excel and scripting or Cisco‑approved AI tools.
• Apply AI and automation within policy and controls, validating outputs before relying on them.
