Job summary

General Motors is seeking a senior Interior Engineering Design leader for the IPFC group at the Warren Tech Center. The role emphasizes staffing, training, directing work, and delivering high-quality design for vehicle programs, with strong technical leadership and cross-functional collaboration.

The position requires guiding a large team, aligning with GM policies, and driving process improvements, while supporting career development and performance feedback for engineers and TSs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technology required.
• 8+ years of experience in Design with leadership exposure.
• Experience in product development and design/release activities.
• Strong knowledge of engineering systems, processes, and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for Design deliverables in IPFC group.
• Staff, communicate, train, and prioritize work for teams.
• Evaluate performance and remove roadblocks to execution.
• Develop processes, standards, or operational plans aligned with business goals.
• Lead staffing initiatives and implement group meetings, GM policies and safety messages.
• Direct workload and priorities for direct reports and monitor schedules.
