Job summary

RLI Insurance Company in Seattle seeks an Contrac Pac Underwriter support role to assist underwriters, prepare policy documents, ensure regulatory compliance, and manage electronic files.

Responsibilities include handling agent licensing, processing emails, formatting data for import, and providing basic operational support across the product line. A high school diploma is typical; associates preferred, with 2+ years in commercial insurance and solid MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow operations procedures as outlined by the Operations Manager.
• Ability to meet processing deadlines with minimal error.
• Ability to manage a variety of projects, both long- and short-term simultaneously.
• Strong organizational, prioritization and communication skills
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Intermediate to proficient with Windows and Microsoft Office (Teams, Excel, Outlook and Word)

Responsibilities

• Maintain agency and producer information in portal system.
• Provide telephone support for all incoming calls from agents, customer and underwriters.
• Assist corporate compliance/producer licensing with agent licensing issues and with special projects as requested.
• Monitor and process all email requests coming through department email queue.
• Create policy documents which represent the insurance transaction bound by the underwriter.
• Ensure the policy issuance complies with regulatory requirements for each insurance transaction.
• Order loss runs as requested.
• Maintain electronic underwriting file.
• Assists with special projects and other duties when needed.
• As necessary, re-format data for import into front end system.
• Provide basic operational support for the product line’s underwriters.
