Job summary

RLI Corp in Peoria, IL is seeking an Underwriting/Operations Assistant - Marine to support underwriters by preparing policy documents and maintaining electronic underwriting files. You will review certificates, ensure regulatory compliance, and format data for front-end systems, contributing to accurate risk assessments.

You'll provide basic operational support for the Marine product line, generate reports with Business Objects, assist with testing of system changes, and help the team audit

Qualifications

High school diploma required; Associates degree preferred.
0–2 years of related experience for consideration.
Ability to follow operations procedures and meet deadlines.
Strong data entry accuracy and Excel skills.
Experience with database software and front-end data formatting.

Responsibilities

Create policy documents representing the insurance transaction.
Ensure regulatory compliance for each insurance transaction.
Maintain electronic and/or physical underwriting files.
Format data for import into front-end systems and generate reports.
