Job summary

RLI Corp is seeking a detail-oriented underwriting support specialist to assist Contrac Pac Underwriters and the agency base. You will manage policy documents, ensure regulatory compliance, maintain electronic files and provide telephone support to internal and external contacts.

The role requires high school completion (associates preferred) and 2+ years of related experience, with strong organizational and communication skills. Flexible & hybrid work arrangements are available.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a high school diploma; Associates degree preferred.
• 2+ years of related experience in commercial insurance or underwriting support.

Responsibilities

• Maintain agency and producer information in portal system.
• Provide telephone support for incoming calls from agents, customers and underwriters.
• Assist corporate compliance/producer licensing with agent licensing issues and with special projects as requested.
• Monitor and process all email requests coming through department email queue.
• Create policy documents which represent the insurance transaction bound by the underwriter.
• Ensure the policy issuance complies with regulatory requirements for each insurance transaction.
• Order loss runs as requested.
• Maintain electronic underwriting file.
• Assist with special projects and other duties when needed.
• Re-format data for import into front end system.
• Provide basic operational support for the product line’s underwriters.
