Job summary

Ally is seeking a data and business analyst in Detroit to drive data-driven decisions for the Insurance data and analytics team. You will define measurements, create reports, and work with leadership, IT, and business partners on opportunities and solution delivery.

You will develop data connections and dashboards using SQL, Snowflake, Python, and Power BI, while ensuring data governance and documentation standards. A strong collaboration mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of data and business analysis experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, Information Science or similar.
• Strong Microsoft Access, CoPilot, Excel, and PowerPoint skills.
• Proficiency in Oracle SQL, Power BI and Snowflake.
• Working knowledge of Python and Snowflake.
• Experience with project management tools like Jira, Confluence, MS Teams, and ServiceNow.

Responsibilities

• Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
• Prioritize business and information needs with management.
• Find new process improvement opportunities.
• Interpret data, analyze results with statistics, and provide ongoing reports.
• Develop data collection systems and strategies to optimize efficiency and quality.
• Mentor new team members.
• Support testing and implementation of data solutions with IT.
• Coordinate with IT and data owners to uphold data governance.
