Instructional Designer
We are hiring an Instructional Designer for our client located in the Boston, MA area. The person hired for this position will design and develop engaging, effective, and scalable learning solutions for a variety of audiences and business needs. This is a hybrid position. The contractor will work 3 days per week onsite in Boston and 2 days per week remotely. Please note: No C2C, Subcontracting or Visa Sponsorship of any kind is available for this position.
- Analyze learning needs and develop instructional strategies that support business and workforce objectives.
- Design and develop engaging learning solutions, including eLearning, instructor-led training, virtual learning, microlearning, videos, curricula, and supporting materials.
- Create detailed storyboards and instructional content based on learning objectives and business requirements.
- Develop eLearning and video-based training using Articulate 360 (Storyline and Rise) and Camtasia.
- Apply adult learning principles, instructional design best practices, and rapid development methodologies.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and stakeholders throughout the design, development, review, and delivery process.
- Manage multiple training projects simultaneously, ensuring quality and timely delivery.
- Perform editing, quality assurance, and consistency reviews of training materials and communications.
- Ensure training materials follow established standards, templates, style guides, branding, and organizational requirements.
- Proactively identify and resolve project issues while maintaining timelines and deliverables.
- Stay current with learning technologies, instructional strategies, and trends in training and development.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
- 4+ years of instructional design experience, with demonstrated expertise in adult learning, online learning, and rapid instructional design.
- Strong hands-on experience with Articulate 360, including Storyline and Rise.
- Proficiency with Camtasia for video and eLearning development.
- Experience developing training solutions from needs analysis through design, development, delivery, and evaluation.
- Experience with curriculum development, training needs analysis, instructional design, and eLearning development.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, stakeholders, and deadlines.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Project.
- Excellent writing, editing, presentation, and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to organize and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a matrixed, hybrid environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships across departments and organizational levels.
- Ability to quickly analyze information and translate complex topics into clear, engaging learning content.
- Knowledge of current instructional design practices, learning technologies, and training trends.
Pay $50 - $60 / hour W2 depending on experience #INDIT
