Job summary

Balfour Beatty US is seeking an Instructional Designer to join our Leadership Development team in a hybrid role, preferably based in Dallas, TX. You will support employee development, compliance training, and professional growth by assessing knowledge gaps, designing content, and evaluating training effectiveness.

The role partners with SMEs and training staff to deliver high-quality learning experiences, using ADDIE and branding standards to create engaging slides, handouts, and e-learning

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or 4 years of relevant experience in HR/OD/Business/Education.
• Certificate in Instructional Design or Certified Training Professional preferred.
• Experience in training and curriculum design across diverse settings.
• Experience with PowerPoint, Articulate 360 and Canva.
• Knowledge of adult learning theories and engaging learning methods.
• Experience implementing ADDIE model or other ISD models.
• Experience with learning technologies or LMS (Dayforce, Workday) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Needs Analysis and Strategy: assess training needs with stakeholders and clarify content requirements.
• Development and Design: create instructor-led and self-paced content aligned to business goals and brand guidelines.
• Evaluation and Improvement: measure training effectiveness and drive content improvements.
