Job summary

Solich Piano and Music Company seeks an Institutional & Education Sales Manager in a hybrid role with on-site requirements two days per week. You will lead sales to colleges, universities, performing arts centers, and schools across multiple states, managing the full cycle from initial contact to delivery.

Travel across Ohio, Michigan, and western PA will be routine. You’ll build lasting customer partnerships, tailor piano solutions, and collaborate with Yamaha teams to grow the institutional

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills dealing with faculty, administrators, and leadership.
• Strong written and verbal communication and professional presentation abilities.
• Ability to manage a multi-market travel schedule and active sales pipeline independently.
• Solid organizational skills with good time management and follow-through.
• Understanding of the institutional and higher education sales cycle and budgeting timelines.
• Customer-focused mindset with problem-solving abilities.
• Experience with CRM systems and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Develop, own, and grow institutional relationships across colleges, universities, and venues.
• Travel to campuses and sites for visits, assessments, and follow-up meetings.
• Identify opportunities for new piano sales, trade-up programs, and classroom solutions.
• Present acoustic, digital, and hybrid piano solutions to fit each organization's needs.
• Coordinate demonstrations, events, and institutional programs with showroom teams.
• Prepare quotes, proposals, and sales agreements through the full sales cycle.
• Maintain a healthy pipeline with accurate CRM records and activity logs.
• Represent Solich Piano and Yamaha at conferences and educational events.
