Job summary

The Chefs' Warehouse is seeking an Inside Sales & Sales Support Associate to back up Outside Sales Representatives and ensure high customer satisfaction. This hybrid role handles account setup, order management, and profitability analysis for 2–4 key accounts.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: High School Diploma (college coursework a plus).
• Experience in foodservice distribution, inside sales, customer service, or sales support preferred.
• Strong verbal, written, and telephone communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support 2–4 Outside Sales Representatives as a primary contact for assigned customers
• Assist with new account setup, onboarding, and ongoing account maintenance
• Manage customer orders, add-ons, credits, adjustments, and special requests
• Communicate out-of-stock items, substitutions, and order changes proactively to customers and sales reps
• Review incoming orders for accuracy and completeness
• Ensure accuracy of entered and outgoing orders
• Suggest and sell additional or complementary items when appropriate
• Run and analyze reports related to account profitability
• Identify growth opportunities within assigned accounts and share insights with the team
• Maintain responsibility for select key accounts, ensuring service levels and pricing accuracy
• Work with sales, operations, purchasing, and customer service to deliver a seamless customer experience
• Escalate issues or concerns to the appropriate team
• Document and track customer complaints and assist with quarterly reporting
• Assist with special orders, price lists, and program maintenance
• Provide backup coverage during vacations or absences
• Attend inside and outside sales meetings and participate in initiatives
• Maintain professionalism and urgency in a fast-paced environment
• Other duties as assigned by management
