Job summary

CampusWorks is seeking an Infrastructure Administrator to provide hands-on administration and operational support for client datacenter, server, cloud-connected, security, and network infrastructure.

The role focuses on administration, maintenance, monitoring, and stability of enterprise systems including Windows Server, identity services, virtualization, and security controls, with opportunities to work on modernization initiatives and cross-team collaboration.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
• Minimum of 3 years supporting enterprise systems, server infrastructure, datacenter technologies, networking, or a similar environment.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server administration and core enterprise technologies including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, authentication, and identity management.
• Experience supporting virtual server environments and enterprise virtualization concepts.
• Working knowledge of TCP/IP networking, switching, VLANs, wireless networking, firewalls, VPN technologies, and basic network troubleshooting.
• Understanding of infrastructure security practices including patch management, vulnerability remediation, systems hardening, authentication, and secure configuration.
• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues, perform root-cause analysis, and escalate when needed.
• Hands-on datacenter work including equipment installation, cabling, hardware replacement, and physical troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and administer Windows Server and related enterprise infrastructure technologies.
• Support identity services including AD, Entra ID, 365, and hybrid identity technologies.
• Administer virtualization platforms and server infrastructure lifecycle management.
• Monitor infrastructure health, capacity, and performance; respond to alerts and degradation.
• Patch, harden, and manage security controls, certificates, and access management.
• Support backup, storage, and disaster recovery processes.
• Troubleshoot server, authentication, virtualization, storage, and network issues; perform root-cause analysis.
• Maintain physical datacenter equipment installation, cabling, and hardware replacement.
• Assist with network infrastructure support (switches, wireless, VLANs, VPNs) as needed.
• Collaborate with IT teams and vendors on incidents, projects, and modernization initiatives.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and runbooks; follow change management practices.
