Job summary

Cognizant is seeking an Infrastructure Support Engineer in Des Moines, IA, to provide end-to-end support across Windows, macOS, Linux, Citrix, and endpoints. The role covers network, server, Citrix environments, and 24x7 support in a hybrid model.

• 5–8 years of enterprise infrastructure support experience.
• Strong experience across networking, Citrix, server administration, and endpoint support.
• Experience supporting global enterprise environments.
• Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain LAN, WAN, VPN, and SD-WAN environments.
• Configure routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless infrastructure.
• Monitor network performance and capacity utilization.
• Diagnose and resolve connectivity, latency, and routing issues.
• Coordinate with telecom providers for WAN circuits.
• Support DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, VLANs, and network security.
• Administer Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops environments.
• Manage Citrix Delivery Controllers, StoreFront, Gateway, and Director.
• Provision and maintain VDI, published apps, and remote access.
• Troubleshoot user sessions, profiles, printing, and perf.
• Perform Citrix upgrades, patches, and health checks.
• Monitor utilization and optimize end-user experience.
• Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server environments.
• Support AD, GPO, DNS, DHCP, and File Services.
• Manage server patching, upgrades, tuning, and security hardening.
• Perform backup and DR activities.
• Troubleshoot server/Application/auth issues.
• Administer Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu, and Linux platforms.
• Manage users, permissions, storage, and security.
• Provision, upgrade, patch, and monitor Linux servers.
• Support macOS devices and endpoints (MDM: Jamf/Intune).
• Deploy software, patches, and endpoint security compliance.
• Perform hardware/software troubleshooting for end users.
• Handle Incident, Problem, Change, and Request Management.
• Participate in major incident RCA and documentation.
• Maintain SOPs and knowledge articles; work SLA-driven.
• On-call and after-hours maintenance participation.
