Job summary

Wake County Public School System is seeking a Senior Administrator/Information Systems Supervisor in Cary, NC. The role leads development of FD&C information systems, delivers reports, and coordinates with vendors and staff to support capital projects.

The position emphasizes policy implementation, system integration, and training across stakeholders, with hybrid telework and occasional evenings/weekends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and experience in information systems/web management.
• Experience with Java, Power BI, Web design/support, Oracle or similar systems, document management, and database development/management.
• Experience in network management and computer applications including Microsoft Access, Web design, and SQL databases.
• Experience supervising staff and leading teams.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements management of information systems policies, procedures, and initiatives.
• Collaborates with department staff and IT professionals to support system configuration and operations.
• Provides scheduled and ad-hoc reports on information and statistics for department operations.
• Evaluates software tools to manage the organization’s business schema and coordinates with functions to meet capital project needs.
• Performs systems administration, data collection, and report generation.
• Develops and manages FD&C Information Systems (Kahua, Primavera P6, ArcGIS).
• Acts as a consultant on software programs and tools and conducts training for staff and stakeholders.
• Procures and manages contracts for ongoing development of FD&C information systems.
• Coordinates maintenance and upgrades of network/computer systems for Facilities, Design, and Construction.
