Zusammenfassung

Benesch is seeking an Information Governance Specialist in our New York office. The role is hybrid with work-from-home flexibility and focuses on managing data throughout its lifecycle, ensuring confidentiality and compliance.

You will coordinate with Risk, IT, and Cybersecurity teams, handling data intake, retention, and disposition while promoting efficient, secure information governance practices.

Qualifikationen

• At least 3–4 years of law firm or records management experience.
• Highly organized with the ability to multi-task and maintain client confidentiality.
• Strong customer service attitude.

Aufgaben

• Oversee digital data intake, including bulk import/export of files into iManage and email archives.
• Support onboarding and departures, coordinating with Records and Information Governance Manager.
• Transfer electronic client matter files to external parties per procedures.
• Help establish data policies for network shares aligned with firm policies.
• Assist with administration of firm collaboration and file-sharing tools.
• Promote operational efficiency and provide high level of client service.
• Maintain confidentiality of client and firm matters.
• Execute data retention and destruction initiatives and projects.
• Assist with digitization of hard copy files.
