Job summary

Spectrum Brands seeks a New Product Industrial Designer to translate consumer needs into innovative products for Home & Garden. The role collaborates with engineering, marketing, manufacturing, and other R&D functions to prototype and validate ideas with a focus on usability, ergonomics, and market relevance.

The position requires a strong technical design background, hands-on prototyping, and cross-functional experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design.

Responsibilities

• Understand consumer insights and extrapolate to develop new products.
• Drive consumer-led innovation within the organization.
• Collaborate with Marketing, NPD, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain.
• Develop design concepts focused on ergonomics, form, and function.
• Create quick prototypes and renderings to communicate concepts.
• Maintain supplier relationships to accelerate product implementation.
• Balance aesthetic design with technical feasibility and manufacturability.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions and apply AI-driven iteration.
• Assist in maintaining rapid prototyping and fabrication equipment.
