Job summary

BHHIC Berkshire Hathaway Homestate Insurance Company is seeking an Insurance Agent at Milepost Insurance Agency LLC in Omaha, NE. The role focuses on selling new policies via inbound calls, guiding coverage options, and providing ongoing support in a high-volume call center. The position is based in Omaha with a hybrid work structure after training (50% in-office).

Training is conducted 100% in-office. A dedicated home workspace is required for remote days.

Qualifications

• Property & Casualty license strongly preferred.
• Minimum of two years relevant work experience OR two years post-secondary education.
• Solid computer and multitasking skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume call center environment.

Responsibilities

• Sell new insurance policies through inbound customer calls.
• Guide customers through coverage options and recommend suitable insurance solutions.
• Explain insurance products and policy details clearly and concisely.
• Provide outstanding service by answering questions and resolving concerns.
• Manage a high volume of calls with accuracy and professionalism.
• Document interactions and update policy information in multiple systems.
• Support customers through quoting, purchase, and policy service processes.
• Maintain compliance with agency procedures and privacy standards.
• Collaborate with teammates to achieve service goals.
• Participate in training to expand insurance knowledge and skills.
