Job summary

SCOR’s U.S. P&C Legal team seeks a highly motivated JD student for an in-house internship in New York. The role offers exposure to regulatory, underwriting, and operational matters, with opportunities to prepare transaction documents and regulatory submissions.

Responsibilities include legal research, drafting memoranda, supporting policy filings, and contributing to training resources and state-by-state regulatory surveys. A hybrid work policy applies, with 3 days in office and 2 remote days.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited JD program.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to identify issues and propose solutions with approvals.

Responsibilities

• Conduct legal research on state and federal insurance laws and draft memoranda.
• Assist with responses to insurance department inquiries.
• Monitor regulatory developments affecting underwriting and product development.
• Draft and revise training materials and slides.
