Job summary

Urban Science is seeking an Implementation Engineer with data engineering skills for a hybrid role in our Detroit, MI office. You will build multi-tenant micro-services using .NET, SQL Server and Angular, focusing on efficient data pipelines and scalable SQL logic.

The role involves teamwork, agile practices, and continuous delivery across the SDLC. The ideal candidate embraces modern data workflows, contributes to design and testing, and participates in CI/CD while supporting clients.

Qualifications

• Experience with data integration and ETL/ELT patterns.
• Proficiency with C#, .NET and MS SQL Server.
• Familiarity with Visual Studio, Git, TFS, and Azure DevOps.

Responsibilities

• Deliver solutions with early and continuous software delivery.
• Work in an Agile/Scrum environment to support development and deployment.
• Collaborate to design, test and refine features across teams.
• Develop and maintain data pipelines translating business rules into scalable SQL logic.
• Architect and optimize complex SQL solutions for performance and scalability.
• Support integration testing, CI/CD, and production readiness.
• Create and maintain databases for application development and reporting.
• Provide client support and contribute to training materials when needed.
• Mentor other engineers and participate in code/design reviews.
