Urban Science is seeking an Implementation Engineer with data engineering skills for a hybrid role in our Detroit, MI office. You will build multi-tenant micro-services using .NET, SQL Server and Angular, focusing on efficient data pipelines and scalable SQL logic.

Qualifications

POSITIONOVERVIEWWe are looking for an Implementation Engineer with data engineering skills to be an important part of building our latest innovative multi-tenant, micro-services solutions. We use some of the latest technologies along with some core foundational technologies such as .NET, SQL Server and Angular. Successful candidates will possess a passion for technology, seeking out and learning the best options for solving problems.

This role has current Hybrid Workplace flexibility local to our Detroit, MI office. Candidate must be available and willing to work in-person two days per week.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain our goal: Ourhighest priority is to satisfy the customer through early and continuous delivery of valuable software.
• Use Agile methodologies to deliver solutions that will support our customers,mainly usingthe Scrum framework to support solution development, implementation, and support.
• Work in a team environment to build our solutions, and with regular retrospection, improve our team culture and processes through continuous inspection.
• Develop, implement and maintain data pipelines and processes to translate complex, business rules into efficient, scalable SQL logic, handling edge cases, and ensuring accurate, deterministic outcomes across large datasets.
• Determinesbestmethodologyand approach to implement and configure new requirements into existing and new client solutions
• Works closely with software development teams to test new application features, including identification ofpossible useractions and potential problems with current design/functionality
• Activelyparticipatein team technical discussions where design ideas are presented andreviewedresulting in a team decision on the best approach.
• Participate in systems design, design reviews,software development, code reviews,quality engineering, andcontinuous integration and continuous delivery.
• Develop and maintain databases in support of application development, modification and creation of queries and integration.
• Provide support to internaland externalclients currentlyutilizingsoftware applications, including assisting with the delivery of solutions.
• Assistwith training as needed, including developing training materials and delivering training to staff.
• May mentor otherImplementation Engineers.
