Job summary

Urban Science, located in the United States, seeks an Implementation Engineer with data engineering skills to help build our multi-tenant micro-services platform. The role emphasizes .NET, SQL Server and Angular, with a hybrid work model and in-person presence two days per week at our Detroit, MI area office.

Ideal candidates will design and optimize data pipelines, translate complex business rules into scalable SQL logic, and collaborate across Agile teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience building data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes.
• Strong SQL Server and relational database design knowledge.
• Proficient in C#, .NET, WCF and modern MS SQL Server.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum and Azure DevOps.
• Familiarity with SDLC and CI/CD practices.
• Ability to translate business rules into scalable SQL logic.
• Ability to mentor others.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and optimize data pipelines for multi-tenant microservices.
• Collaborate with software teams to test features and fix issues.
• Develop and maintain databases and queries for applications.
• Support customers and internal teams with solutions.
• Participate in design reviews and CI/CD processes.
