Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer I to join the Enterprise Systems team in a hybrid role near Temple, TX. You will maintain IBM Power Systems, manage security and backups, and support JD Edwards environments across the business.

This is a collaborative, hands-on position with on-call rotation and a path to greater impact within a global distribution leader. You will work with a small team to ensure reliability and performance, participate in disaster recovery planning,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• 3+ years administering IBM i environments (AS/400, iSeries, IBM Power Systems).
• Experience with BRMS, MIMIX, FlashCopy, and Robot Scheduler preferred.
• JD Edwards experience strongly preferred.
• Solid backup, recovery, high availability, and performance tuning knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain IBM Power Systems environments (Power9/Power10).
• Manage user security, profiles, and system resources; perform audit validations.
• Execute monthly tax updates and scheduled maintenance tasks.
• Manage backups, recovery, and business continuity with BRMS/FlashCopy.
• Support high availability and DR via MIMIX replication.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve system performance issues.
• Support JD Edwards environments and on-call incidents.
• Document procedures and collaborate with teams to improve automation.
