Job summary

LightEdge is seeking a Solutions Architect to design and deliver IBM Power Systems and IBM i solutions for enterprise customers. You will lead modernization, migration, backup/recovery, and DR initiatives, while guiding hybrid infrastructure projects across colocation, managed services, cloud, and on-prem environments.

You will engage customers directly, present architectures to executives, and collaborate with Sales, Engineering, and Delivery to ensure aligned outcomes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in Solutions Architecture, Infrastructure Engineering, or related consulting roles.
• Deep expertise with IBM Power Systems and IBM i environments.
• Experience designing storage, backup, DR, and high-availability solutions for enterprise clients.

Responsibilities

• Design and architect IBM Power Systems and IBM i solutions for enterprise and mid-market customers.
• Lead modernization, migration, backup/recovery, and disaster recovery initiatives.
• Develop hybrid infrastructure solutions integrating colocation, managed services, cloud, and on-prem platforms.
• Serve as technical lead during customer discovery sessions and architectural reviews.
• Collaborate with Sales to align technical strategy with customer needs.
• Create solution diagrams, scopes, and technical recommendations.
• Work with Engineering, Product, and Delivery to ensure feasibility and alignment.
