Job summary

CDM Smith seeks a Hydraulic Structures Engineer to design and analyze hydraulic structures for flood protection and water projects in the United States. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural engineering.
• PE license required.
• 10 years related experience.
• Willingness to travel 20–40%.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and design hydraulic structures for flood control, hydroelectric and water resource projects.
• Lead project teams and coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams.
• Prepare proposals with scopes of work, budgets and schedules.
• Forecast workload and schedules; monitor budgets and progress.
• Prepare and review contract documents, drawings, specs and cost estimates.
• Perform engineering services during construction including shop drawing reviews.
• Conduct inspections and risk analyses for hydraulic structures; present findings.
• Mentor junior staff and participate in business development.
