Job summary

Ferguson is seeking a Commercial/Multi-Family HVAC Project Estimator to support our Raleigh, Nashville, and Newport News locations. The role develops quotations and helps sales teams with pricing decisions for various markets nationwide.

This hybrid position (3 days in office / 2 remote) requires HVAC knowledge, quotation experience, and strong communication. You will partner with internal teams to ensure accurate pricing and timely responses.

Qualifications

• Commercial/multi-family HVAC knowledge and quotation experience or Inside Sales preferred (training available).
• Ability to collaborate & support quotations teams in a collaborative environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, especially Teams and Outlook.
• Strong written and verbal communication across all levels of the organization.
• Strong computer and typing skills (40+ WPM).
• Ability to handle a highly deadline-driven environment.
• Flexible and adaptable with multi-tasking.
• Identify issues quickly and navigate priorities amid last-minute changes.
• Well organized, detail-oriented and time-management focused.
• Demonstrates integrity and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Develop quotations based on branch preferences, including manufacturers and profit margins.
• Identify relevant materials to be quoted after training.
• Maintain good customer and vendor relationships.
• Interact and negotiate with vendors.
• Work within a team to achieve goals.
• Organize and file inbound emails and attachments in project folders.
• Identify business critical issues and collaborate to resolve.
• Follow established SOPs to complete quotation processes.
