Job summary

Williams College is seeking an HRIS Analyst to join the Human Resources team to optimize HRIS, ensure data integrity, and improve business processes. The role partners with HR, Payroll, Finance, and IT to translate requirements into functional specs and lead testing for system upgrades.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree and at least two years in HRIS or related areas, with strong communication and data governance skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and at least two years of relevant experience in HRIS, HR systems, or systems analysis.
• Strong understanding of administrative software systems and data integration.
• Experience gathering requirements, analyzing business processes, and creating clear business process documentation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to translate complex concepts for a non-technical audience.
• Adaptability, organization, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Teamwork and ability to work in a cross-functional environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain dashboards and reports for strategic decision-making.
• Conduct data quality audits, manage mass data loads, and enforce data governance for integrity and compliance.
• Manage foundational data structures (positions, job profiles, organizational assignments).
• Oversee system integrations and automated data feeds between Workday, benefits platforms, and internal systems; troubleshoot issues.
• Analyze and configure HRIS modules to meet organizational needs.
• Translate business requirements into functional/technical specs and lead testing (UAT, integration) for upgrades/new implementations.
• Provide advanced troubleshooting support and deliver training, documentation, and guidance to HR staff, managers, and employees.
