Job summary

The Oregon Department of Justice’s HR team seeks an experienced HR Support Analyst (Human Resource Analyst 1) to handle personnel processing, labor relations support, and compensation activities in a hybrid in‑office and remote arrangement based in Salem. Training is in‑person for the first two weeks, followed by a one‑day‑in‑office schedule with flexibility.

The role demands a bachelor’s degree in HR or related field or recognized HR certifications, plus HR paraprofessional experience.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Organizational Behavior or Development, Business or Public Administration, the Applied Behavioral Sciences, Industrial Relations or a job‑related course of study.
• Valid certification as SHRM Certified Professional or SCHRP / PSHRA equivalents.
• Three years HR paraprofessional or technical‑level experience.

Responsibilities

• Process personnel tasks using Workday system and manage hires and salary changes.
• Provide HR technical support to managers and staff on processes and requirements.
• Assist with classification studies, pay equity analyses, and position descriptions.
