Job summary

Southern Company Services seeks a Strategic Initiatives Consultant to unite people, data, and strategy across HR and workforce analytics. You will partner with HR, analytics, and planning teams to translate workforce insights into practical guidance for leaders and employees.

This role emphasizes collaboration, relationship-building, and turning complex data into clear, actionable workforce narratives that support enterprise priorities and long-term business success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Organizational Development, or related field.
• Five or more years of experience in HR consulting, workforce planning, workforce analytics, or related roles.
• Experience supporting cross-functional HR, workforce planning, analytics, or business initiatives.
• Strong critical thinking, business judgment, and ability to translate data into guidance.
• Strong relationship-building, communication, and facilitation skills for varied audiences.

Responsibilities

• Partner with HR, analytics, and workforce planning teams to support enterprise people priorities.
• Translate workforce data, planning outputs, and trends into clear implications and insights.
• Help HR partners understand and apply dashboards, tools, standards, and insights.
• Co-design training, job aids, and resources to build HR confidence using workforce data.
• Support and co-facilitate workforce planning, talent, leadership, and strategy discussions with insights.
• Synthesize workforce trends to support consistent narratives and enterprise insights.
• Gather feedback on tool usability and adoption challenges, resources, and enablement.
