Job summary

Southern Company is seeking a Strategic Workforce Planning Analyst to act as the analytics and insights lead for a defined region. You will co-author enterprise-level summaries, identify workforce signals, and translate data into actionable recommendations in collaboration with HR partners.

The role requires 5+ years in workforce analytics or FP&A, strong BI tool experience, and ability to influence stakeholders with executive-ready narratives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in analytics, business or HR.
• 5+ years of experience in people/workforce analytics or FP&A analytics.
• Ability to convert data into executive-ready insights and narratives.

Responsibilities

• Serve as analytics and insights partner for an assigned region, interpreting trends and risks.
• Co-own workforce planning deliverables across summaries and themes.
• Identify signals, connect to business impact, and develop actionable recommendations.
• Partner with Reporting & Analytics to develop and refine workforce trends dashboards.
• Apply workforce planning frameworks while incorporating local context to support enterprise alignment.
• Reconcile data differences across HR baseline data, staffing plans, and budgets.
