Job summary

Southern Company is seeking a Strategic Workforce Planning Analyst to serve as the analytics lead for a defined region, translating workforce data into actionable insights for executives and line leaders. You'll co-create enterprise summaries, identify risk themes, and recommend actions.

You will work with HR partners to develop dashboards showing trends, segmentation, and what changed views. This role requires collaboration, strong communication, and the ability to operate with limited

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
5+ years in people/workforce analytics or FP&A analytics.
Ability to translate data into executive-ready insights.
Experience with HRIS/Oracle HCM data preferred.
Strong communication and stakeholder management.
Ability to operate independently in ambiguous environments.

Responsibilities

Serve as analytics partner for an assigned region, interpreting workforce trends and risks.
Co-own enterprise summaries, key themes, commentary, and FAQs with a common narrative.
Identify signals, connect them to business impact, and develop actionable recommendations.
Collaborate on dashboards to track workforce trends, segmentation, and what changed views.
Align HR, Finance, and business partners around a shared workforce narrative.
