Duke University School of Medicine HR Service Center is seeking an HR Specialist to join our team. You will act as a key HR resource across departments, focusing on payroll and leave processes, partnering with department HR, managers, employees, and students to navigate HR actions, resolve issues, and ensure accurate and timely payroll and leave administration.

The role offers hybrid work with on-site presence in Durham, NC as needed by operation.

Qualifications

• Experience reviewing, maintaining, researching, and reporting HR/payroll information.
• Excellent communication, organizational, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to record retention policies.

Responsabilités

• Process payroll transactions, corrections, and adjustments for employees and students; troubleshoot issues.
• Review and process HR transactions from hire to separation and data changes.
• Provide specialized leave support for FMLA, parental, military, personal, and other leave programs.
