Hawthorne Capital in Houston, TX, seeks an HR Generalist to manage payroll, benefits, onboarding and offboarding, and employee relations. Hybrid role: in-office Monday, Wednesday, Thursday; remote Tuesday and Friday.

You will oversee performance reviews, compliance with employment laws, HRIS administration, and staff communications. Requires a Bachelor's in HR or related field and 2–3 years HR experience. Starting salary around $60K with growth and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field.
• 2–3 years of HR experience preferred.
• Strong payroll, benefits, onboarding, and employee relations skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage payroll and ensure accurate compensation.
• Administer employee benefits, health insurance, retirement plans and PTO.
• Oversee annual performance reviews, raises and bonuses.
• Oversee full-cycle recruiting, onboarding, and terminations.
• Foster a positive workplace culture and address employee concerns.
• Maintain HRIS records, handbook, and reporting.
