Job summary

Addison Group is seeking a detail-oriented HR Generalist for a temporary assignment through the end of the year in downtown Chicago. The role provides hands-on support to a busy HR department, focusing on benefits administration, payroll questions, and the annual open enrollment process, with a hybrid schedule requiring 2–3 days onsite per week.

The ideal candidate has strong Paylocity experience, benefits administration, and HRIS skills, and can manage multiple priorities independently while

Qualifications

• Experience with Paylocity HRIS, payroll, and benefits administration.
• Experience supporting at least one annual open enrollment cycle.
• Strong understanding of employee benefits, eligibility, enrollment changes, and carrier coordination.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary HR resource for benefits eligibility and enrollment procedures.
• Assist with annual open enrollment activities and processing benefit elections.
• Coordinate benefit changes for new hires, terminations, and life events.
• Investigate and resolve benefit discrepancies and enrollment issues with carriers and vendors.
• Maintain benefit records across internal and external systems.
• Prepare and enter payroll-related updates and respond to payroll inquiries.
• Troubleshoot HRIS/payroll system issues and ensure data accuracy.
• Support leave administration including FMLA and short-term disability.
• Reconcile benefits invoices and ensure accurate billing and enrollment data.
• Maintain confidential employee records and support year-end HR initiatives.
