Job summary

Top Prospect Group is seeking a Junior HR Business Partner / HR Generalist in Kingston, RI. Hybrid schedule: 3 days on site, 2 offsite, 35-hour week.

The role provides operational and consultative HR support, aligning HR practices with institutional priorities and supporting employee relations, performance management, talent processes, and compliance. You will be a key contact for managers and employees on routine HR matters, collaborating with HR COEs on benefits, leave, ADA/FMLA, CBAs, and

Qualifications

Minimum of three (3) years of progressive HR experience
Working knowledge of HR practices, employment laws, and regulations
Experience supporting employee relations and performance management processes
Ability to build collaborative relationships across departments

Responsibilities

Provide first-line HR consultation to managers and employees on policies and procedures.
Support workforce planning and staffing activities in collaboration with Talent Acquisition.
Assist with job description development, organizational updates, and position changes.
Provide guidance on performance management processes, including coaching managers on documentation and feedback practices.
Support compensation-related inquiries in coordination with central HR.
