Job summary

AMBA, a trusted coverage provider for public servants since 1981, seeks a Human Resources Generalist to support daily HR operations, including recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, and recordkeeping. The role focuses on ensuring compliant, positive HR practices across our nationwide network.

You will advise managers and employees on HR policies, manage leave and performance processes, and contribute to a productive workplace with a hybrid work arrangement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) in Human Resources or related field.
• PHR or SHRM-CP or ability to obtain within first year of employment (preferred).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to build relationships.
• Proficiency with personal computers and Microsoft Office applications, including HR software.

Responsibilities

• Lead recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding processes for assigned employees.
• Prepare termination materials, coordinate exit interviews and offboarding activities.
• Manage employee benefits enrollment and respond to benefits-related questions.
• Support payroll processes and maintain HR records with accuracy.
• Provide guidance on HR policies, leave management, and leave laws.
• Address employee grievances and suggest engagement/retention strategies.
