Qualifications

• High school diploma plus 4 years of outpatient coding experience or 4 years of Mayo Clinic coding experience.
• Associate’s degree plus 2 years of outpatient coding experience or 2 years of Mayo Clinic coding experience.
• Ability to organize and prioritize work in a teleworking environment.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze medical record documentation for coding.
• Assign codes ensuring accurate and compliant coding for facility claims.

Skills

Knowledge of physician/professional coding

In-depth knowledge of medical terminology

Understanding of billing/collections compliance

Ability to work independently

Education

High school diploma or Associate's degree
